1. Who you are contracting with
AltBay is a shop of Mareades, established in the Netherlands.
Mareades is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van Koophandel) under KvK number 42050327. The establishment address is the address recorded for that KvK number in the Handelsregister.
Customer contact for AltBay: [email protected]. Website: https://altbay.net. Mareades: https://www.mareades.com.
These terms govern every purchase on https://altbay.net. By placing an order you enter into a distance contract with Mareades trading as AltBay. Dutch law applies.
2. What we sell
AltBay sells game-ready digital accounts that we prepare and stock ourselves. There are no third-party marketplace sellers. Each listing describes the platform, game, region (if stated), what you receive, and how email access or email change works for that product.
Delivery is digital: after payment is confirmed, login credentials for the purchased inventory item are made available in your order. We do not ship physical goods.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially supported by Steam, Rockstar Games, or any other platform operator. Platform names are used only to describe the product.
3. Platform rules
Game platforms may restrict account transfers, sharing, or credential changes in their own terms. You are responsible for reading the platform’s terms and for using the account in a way those terms allow.
Buying an account does not make you a party to a contract with the platform operator, and it does not create any official licence beyond whatever access the account already has. If a platform later limits, suspends, or closes an account for reasons outside our control, that is a platform decision — see also the platform notice and the refund policy.
4. Orders, prices, and stock
Prices on the product page are indicative. The amount you pay is the total quoted by our server at checkout (including any tax shown there), not a price sent from your browser.
Stock is limited. An item is only reserved when checkout starts, and only sold when payment is confirmed. If payment fails, expires, or is cancelled, the reservation is released.
We may refuse or cancel an order in case of obvious pricing errors, suspected fraud, missing stock, or a failed payment. If we have already taken payment in those cases, we refund it.
5. Payment
Payment is processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe) on their hosted checkout. We do not store full card numbers. You authorise the charge of the quoted total in the stated currency.
The contract is formed when we confirm the order after successful payment. Until then, the order may remain pending or awaiting payment.
6. Delivery
Delivery is complete when the credentials for the sold inventory item are made available to you (on the order page and, where email is working, by notification to the address you used at checkout).
You must keep credentials confidential, change the account email and password where the platform allows it, and follow the security steps shown after delivery. Revealed credentials are personal to your order; do not share them.
7. Your AltBay account
If you register, you must provide accurate details and a password of at least 12 characters. You are responsible for activity under your login. We may suspend access in case of abuse, fraud, or security risk.
8. Withdrawal, refunds, and complaints
Your statutory consumer rights are not waived. The 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts, the digital-content exception, and how to ask for a refund are set out in the refund policy at https://altbay.net/refunds.
Complaints: email [email protected] with your order number and a clear description. We aim to respond within five working days.
9. Conformity
The product must match the description on the listing at the time of purchase (platform, game, and the features we stated). If it does not, tell us promptly so we can investigate. Statutory rights for non-conformity under Dutch law remain available.
We do not claim that accounts are ban-proof, lifetime, officially supported, or immune to platform enforcement. Those are not product features.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health, or any liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for platform bans, ToS enforcement, or loss of access caused by the platform operator, by your sharing of credentials, or by your use of the account after delivery. Our aggregate liability for a given order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
11. Prohibited use
You may not use the shop to commit fraud, launder money, harass others, or resell inventory in a way that misrepresents ${merchant.tradeName}. We may cancel orders and close accounts in those cases.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms and the purchase contract are governed by the law of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence if you are a consumer in the EU/EEA.
If we cannot resolve a dispute together, the competent courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction, again without prejudice to a consumer’s right to sue in their own EU/EEA country of residence where the law allows that.
13. Changes
We may update these terms for new orders. The version accepted at checkout applies to that order. The date at the top of this page is the current version.
